 Here is a brief summary of my career so far.
     
Company history

I left school at the  age of  16 and went straight into the building trade.
I started off as a Hod carrier and planed to become a  Bricklaying.

                                                    
One day whilst working on a house in Chingford I came across a Plasterer.
I watched in amazement as he worked  the plaster , i was fascinated  at how  he made it  all look so easy.
I realized there and then that this was the job for me so I  began looking for a place as a plasterers mate.
After a while I got lucky and  landed a job with an experienced plasterer, his name was Alan Dowler.  I  began work with Alan and  gradually with his help and patience I learnt how to mix all the various materials and  eventually how they were applied. It took time to perfect my Labouring skills but after a while It became second nature.

Personally   I would describe the role of a plasterers mate  as similar to  the role of  a Dentists assistant, they both need to work fast , they need good knowledge of the materials that  they are using and  they need to know all of  the pros and cons of these materials .

I spent around 3 years as a plasterers mate and gradually learned the trade.
As time passed I began to  realise just how good   Alan was he had natural talent , it  was passed down to him from  3 generations of  family plasterers .I  have come across lots of other plasterers during my time but Alan always stands  out as the best. I never ever found a fault in his work and not for want of trying. Hopefully some of his skills have  rubbed off on me , I am a perfectionist at Heart so this was a great advantage.
Even now I consider myself  very  fortunate to have gotten  the chance to work with Alan   He taught me how to plaster to a high standard and I learned many different  techniques . After spending the best part of 27 years of my  life as a Plasterer I  still appreciate good plastering  . You can really transform  the appearance of  a  Building with plaster ,material cost are relativly low and plastering is a fairly  fast process        

I started my business " Just Plastering around 6 years ago and with the help of my Son Jay , I am pleased to say that we are steadily building up a reputation as a Quality service.
